MY REVIEW: Angefangen mit der ersten Zeile hört man schon die Einsamkeit und Melancholie heraus, die bis zum Ende hingegen kaum schöner sein könnte. Eine schöne Traurigkeit die dieses Lied bedeckt. Angefangen von den nachdenklichen Strophen bis hin zu dem aussichtslosen Chorus "Goodbye my Almost Lover, Auf Wiedersehen mein Beinahe-Liebhaber", gebrochen von einer gewaltigen Bridge, die nur noch die absolute Verzweiflung perfekt zum Ausdruck bringt. Himmlisch der Text, und auch die Stimme kann einem nicht mehr aus dieser Traumwelt wecken. Bei dieser Frau kann man zwar auch einschlafen, aber es ist doppelt so schön, von dieser Musik wieder geweckt zu werden.

What I think the lyrics are about:Mit viel Schmerz und Trauer, die in einem vollen Eimer Fantasie und Kreativität getaucht wird, mit einem Ausdruck der glatt den Hörer in seinen eigenen Tränen ertrinken lassen könnte. Schön beschrieben, auch wenn das Wort "Beinahe Liebhaber" nicht grad eine wunderschöne deutsche Übersetzung wär.(-:
